![]() This problem only happens when deleting the save file for Advance inside the options menu. The fifth problem is a little more complicated Sonic Advance 1 had a little bug in which the Tiny Chao Garden is unable to recieve any Rings that one collected from Advance. But I've never heard of anything like this before and it was also more of an idea I had while coming up with theoretical solutions. The other idea would be to split the save file into two one for the three Advance games and one just for the TCG. Though, I'm not really sure how big the max size of a save file is for Emulators to be able and read them. Using an Emulator on a PC might get the job done what if the save file created by the compiled rom would also include data for Sonic Pinball Party? It's just a little Pinball game, so it might not need much to save. Since I'd also like Sonic Pinball Party to be able to read and write from the same TCG save, I was thinking about how that would work, if it wasn't possible to include it in one package with the three other games. Which would come in handy while trying to include the three main games in one package. Sure, the 2 in 1 Rom does include Advance 1 and this game in just 6MB, but I left that game out of my mindplay because removing it might shrink Advance 1 down to even less MB (maybe 3-4? hopefully even less.). ![]() Problem number four is about the other game that actually included the Tiny Chao Garden, but completely differs in terms of it's main gameplay Sonic Pinball Party. The TCG might not be able to opened in the game itself, but maybe at least the collected Rings after each Level could still be transfered to the TCG save? The third problem is linking Sonic Advance 3 to the TCG, since it never included a version of one to begin with. So there might be hope that 32MB isn't the cap, since I only focus on Emulators or am I wrong here? If I remember correctly, in some cases the Rom files were too large. There is also another thing: I've read a little about some Romhacks for other Consoles being unable to be played on real Hardware in the past. Since both Sonic Advance 1 and 2 have a TCG it could maybe be removed from one game in order to make up some space, since I'd like to only use one anyways. My hope is that the Roms use a lot of filler content that can be removed to get some space (The Rom for 2 in 1: Sonic Advance & Sonic Pinball Party is less than 6MB in size, which might indicate that at least Sonic Advance 1 has a lot of free space since it's standalone Rom is 8MB in size). The first problem is very obvious all files together are way to big for a 32MB Rom. Tiny Chao Garden (Version 1.0) is around 212KB in size. Theoretically, I would like to get Sonic Advance 1, 2 and 3 into a single Rom with only one TCG being included, that draws Rings from all three games. It's possible to compile Roms together into a Multirom, which can be up to 32MB in size. So I thought a little about how one might be able to join them together. Acquiring Rings is also a tedious process when using the main games, since every game has it's own TCG which can't transfer anything between the other TCG's. The Tiny Chao Garden is basically it's own game and even has it's own save inside the main save file of each game (deleting the save of a main game in it's options won't delete any progress in the TCG, which makes it impossible to reset it on real hardware without modifications). Transferred from GCN Sonic Adventure 1/2 to GBA (though, those are not connected to another game and only exist until the GBA is turned off) So while the TCG is it's own game it is also connected in some way to the game it is included with. Because the special thing about the Tiny Chao Garden is that you automatically get all Rings you kept through a Level until the Goal of an Act in one of the main games. You only get a few Rings through the short minigames, so to acquire more Rings you have to get them another way. One minigame that is available in all TCG versions and one of four others that are available depending on what version of the TCG you use and what game it is included with. You can use Rings to buy Fruits and some Toys to make your Chao happy, which you can acquire through two minigames. The Tiny Chao Garden itself is basically a game inside a game, where you can raise and care for a small creature (a Chao) that you can then transfer to your GameCube copies of Sonic Adventure 1/2 or vice versa. I'm a big fan of the Sonic the Hedgehog Franchise and the Tiny Chao Garden game used in some GBA games of that series. This is a small series of some hypothetical questions and I hope it's alright for me to ask.
